International Conference: The 1974 SFRY Constitution - five decades later

In accordance with the celebration of the anniversary of the University of Montenegro, the Historical Institute of UCG is organizing the International Conference "The 1974 SFRY Constitution - Five Decades Later." The official opening and the working part of the conference will be held on April 24, 2024, in the building of the UCG Rectorate.

This international conference will aim to scientifically address questions regarding the significance of the 1974 SFRY Constitution, its consequences, the decentralization of the SFRY, the economic and political independence of the republics and provinces; the basis for the dissolution of the common state, statism, controversies, legal achievements; and the social, political, and economic conditions in the decade of the constitutions adoption, as well as the impact of the Constitution on the establishment and development of institutions in the then Socialist Republic of Montenegro.
