The official visit and working meeting of the Rector of the University of Montenegro, Prof. Dr. Vladimir Božović, with the deans of the art faculties, Prof. Tatjana Krkeljić from the Music Academy, Prof. Marko Marković from the Faculty of Fine Arts, and Prof. Edin Jašarović from the Faculty of Dramatic Arts, was organized on the occasion of the official opening, technical acceptance, and commissioning of the Common Activities facility within the Art Faculties complex at Cetinje, University of Montenegro.

The Common Activities facility, located near the Faculty of Fine Arts and architecturally planned on the site of the former Obod factory, represents just a part of a larger, multi-year phased project that the University of Montenegro is implementing in collaboration with the Capital Projects and Investments Administration of the Government of Montenegro, with the idea of uniting all art faculties in one place.

During Rector Božovićs working visit, numerous important issues were discussed to enhance and expand the creative space for the presentation and promotion of the artistic works of professors and students. Utilizing this space will further enrich and improve the teaching and all educational processes, especially the professional-artistic and research work, not only within the University of Montenegro but also in the broader cultural space of the capital Cetinje, and the whole of Montenegro.

The Common Activities facility is intended as a venue for the presentation and promotion of artistic and exam works of professors and students from all three art faculties in Cetinje. The facility consists of two separate halls of a presentational nature with internal galleries connected by a walk-through atrium portal, thus forming a harmonious whole of a multifunctional space that can be modularly used in various ways for different types of art programs, their direct preparation, presentation, and promotion.

The handover of the facility and its official commissioning represents a significant spatial and technical enhancement for all three art faculties in Cetinje, which will undoubtedly provide greater visibility and a comprehensive view of the contributions of all three academic communities from different artistic fields, thereby significantly contributing to achieving their full creative potential and integration of our student and academic artistic community.

The commissioning of this facility marks a significant step forward for the University of Montenegro towards fulfilling its strategic, programmatic, and infrastructural mission and vision. The opening of this facility and its official commissioning is just a part of the capital investments and projects that the University of Montenegro plans to implement this year, which include the publication of public tenders and procurements for the construction of new facilities for the Faculty of Dramatic Arts and the Music Academy in Cetinje.

Therefore, today, with unabashed enthusiasm and great expectations, we congratulate the future users on the official commissioning of the Common Activities facility in the Art Faculties complex and wish them much success in this landmark fiftieth year of the University of Montenegro, as they continue to consistently contribute to the enhancement, development, and promotion of Montenegrin culture and arts.
