    • Inorganic materials,
    • Instrumental analysis,
    • Environmental protection.

Faculty has considerable resources of conventional equipment:

    • Production or synthesis of various types of materials (metallic materials - alloys to the melting point up to 1200oC, metal powders, ceramics, composites and various inorganic and organic compounds),
    • Casting of metallic materials (induction furnace with capacity of 50 kg of aluminum alloys, resistance furnaces)
    • Processing of liquid to a temperature up to 1200 C,
    • Deformation processing (laboratory - rolling mill, wire drawing machine, drawing of bars, deep drawing)
    • Synthesis and compacting of powder materials (hydraulic press with computer controlled pressure-time-temperature parameters)
    • Chemical, and x-ray characterization of materials, conventional methods of analytical and physical chemistry,
    • Mechanical characterization of materials under conditions of tension, compression, bending, shear, impact strength testing, deep drawing test, identification of capabilities to design, measurement of hardness of the material, coating thickness measurement, the degree of adhesion,
    • Accelerated corrosion testing of materials methods,
    • Processing under conditions of elevated pressure and temperature (laboratory autoclave)
    • Metallographic characterization of materials, with the possibility of automated digital image processing
