Establishing cooperation with European universities within Erasmus+ Programme

The University of Montenegro has intensively participated in the International Credit Mobility projects since 2014. These projects are based on the principle of the exchange of students, academic, and non-academic staff of the Higher Education Institution.

Every unit of the University of Montenegro can apply for a partnership agreement with one of the Programme countries’ universities based on a previous partnership. Applications for projects with an offered number of mobilities should be sent by the Higher Education Institutions from EU countries and third countries associated with the programme (North Macedonia, Serbia, Lichtenstein, Norway, Turkey) to their national agencies.

Exchanges are based on the Inter-Institutional Agreement – IIA between the Higher Education Institutions of Programme and Partner countries. The agreement defines the number of mobilities, study fields and level of study, as well as details about mobilities of academic and non-academic staff. The IIA is signed by Rector in the name of the University of Montenegro.

Applications are sent once a year, in February, while the results are announced in July of the same year. The International Relations and Mobility Office prepares necessary documentation for the application of projects and sends it to potential partner institutions.
