Steering Committee
Governing body of the University of Montenegro is the Steering Committee. In carrying out the governance, the Steering Committee performs duties established by the law and the Statute of the University of Montenegro.
The Steering Committee the University of Montenegro has 15 members, and consists of:
- Five representatives of founders, appointed by the Government of Montenegro
- Six representatives of the academic staff
- One representative of other employees
- Three student representatives, ensuring that students of all levels of study (undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral) are represented in the structure.
Selection of members is defined by the Statute of the University of Montenegro, while representatives of the founders are appointed by the Government.
The Steering Committee is elected for a period of four years, except for student representatives who are elected for a period of two years. The UMNE Steering Committee is headed by the chairperson, who is elected from the line of the Steering Committee members.
Preparing materials for consideration of issues within the competence of the Steering Committee, chairperson of shall form advisory and other work bodies and request necessary information and data.
The manner of work and decision-making of the Steering Committee of the University of Montenegro is regulated in detail by the Rules of Procedure of the Steering Committee of the University of Montenegro.
